Heather is a born entrepreneur!! With wellness being the only common denominator between her three businesses, she thrives on the challenge of learning something new. A Healthy Meal Delivery Service in her 20s, followed by an eco tourism company in Central America, and now she combines her love of personal self care and yoga with the launch of OM Spa within the Thornhill Moksha Yoga studio where she continues to instruct yoga classes as well!!
Heather has worked as a yoga instructor in the Yoga Studio Environment for the past 5 years under the MOKSHA YOGA umbrella – in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Trinidad and Tobago. She has been in the wellness field for 10 years with her first business and for the last 5 years as a holistic nutritionist and Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner.
She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree; Double Major in Criminology and Sociology with a Minor in Gender Studies, University College, University of Toronto Ontario.

Jacquie has 8 years of experience in the Esthetics industry. She loves working in a Spa environment because she spends her days bringing a smile to her client’s faces. Jacquie is a skin care consultant and a nail care expert. She thrives on making clients realize their beauty inside and out. She received her Professional Spa Therapist diploma from Elmcrest College and has graduated with Honors. She continues to expand her skill set through ongoing education at the Dermal Institute. When Jacqueline is not busy educating clients on nail/skin care, or providing a soothing relaxation massage, she has her hands full with her 2 beautiful daughters.

Megan is proud of her job as a professional spa therapist, and is an expert in threading and everything eyebrow related - shaping, shading, threading, waxing.  She believes that she can be effective in people's lives by helping them feel better through providing health and beauty related services.  Megan received here professional  spa therapist diploma from Byran College (formerly known as Elmcrest College).  She is always easer to learn and develop her skills and, therefore went back to school to complete her Medical aesthetics Diploma.  She now works in both Spa and Medical Aesthetics.  Megan brings a strong emphasis on health and wellness to her position as a therapist.  Her mission is to provide comfort and care for those she performs professional treatments on and her goal is to continue growing in her field by building relationships with her clients and people rounder.  Outside of work, Megan truly enjoys life with her family.

After graduating from a 5 year program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, Toronto Campus, Cathy successfully defended her thesis in November 2009: “The Role of Osteopathic treatment and its Influence on Depressed Mood During Pregnancy”. Alongside her designation as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner D.O.M.P., Cathy is also a graduate from York University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education (Kinesiology). As a practicing therapist for over 20 years,
Cathy is enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate about her line of work. She continues to grow her private practice built on integrity and geared towards the improvement of individual health issues and special needs for all of her patients. Shabnam utilizes a combination of chiropractic manual therapy including spinal manipulation and mobilizations; soft tissue therapy and muscle release techniques to provide her clients with the best chiropractic care. She is also highly trained in clinical acupuncture with a neuro-musculo-skeletal approach, and rehabilitation. Her rehabilitative exercises are personalized to her client’s goals. This is what makes her approach very unique, offering high-quality care, a positive therapeutic outcome, and lasting results.

Shabnam holds a Masters degree in Psychology from York University, and obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). During her studies at CMCC she also acquired a number of awards, scholarships and certifications, including clinical acupuncture, rehabilitation and additional certifications treating shoulder injuries. She pursued chiropractic because it was the motivating factor for her to help reduce pain, improve mobility and functioning, and also enhance one’s quality of life.

Dr. Alan Chan is a licensed Chiropractor who graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In his undergraduate studies, he graduated from York University as he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

He continues to further his education regularly and has completed courses in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Gait Analysis and Custom Orthotics fitting as well as Medical Grade Compression Hosiery (compression socks and stockings) fitting.

Alan incorporates a variety of hands-on manual techniques into his practice such as muscle relaxation, joint mobilizations, spinal and extremity joint manipulations, fascial release, focussed stretching exercises as well as corrective rehabilitation exercises.

His general interests are in sports and individual wellness activities such as yoga and meditative practices. His personal interests allow him to transfer his knowledge, experiences and personal practices into his Chiropractic practice focussing on sport related injuries as well as enhancing health and wellness at an individualized level.

Alan believes that a well-balanced mind and a healthy active body creates opportunity for optimal levels of functioning.

Ana completed her massage therapy program with honours from Humber College and is a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Before Ana pursued her career as an RMT, she worked as a Personal Fitness trainer who specialized in Pre- and Post-Natal fitness training. Ana has focused her skills on sports-related injuries, neurological disorders, & prenatal discomforts. She uses her knowledge of functional anatomy and pain relief techniques to relieve and restore injured muscles. Shannon fell in love with the art of massage therapy the first time she received a massage by RMT. She instantly developed the desire to pass on to others, the exhilarating feeling from receiving a massage treatment. Shannon graduated from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2012 and provides massage therapy for various conditions including physical and emotional stress, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, neck and back pain, nerve pathologies, breast congestion, inflammatory conditions, premenstral syndrome, migraines, tension headaches, edema, strains, sprains, disc herniation, sports injuries, spasms, respiratory conditions, fascial restrictions, postural disorders, constipation, temporal mandibular joint disorder, fibromyalgia, piriformis syndrome and several other conditions. Techniques Shannon uses in her treatments include deep tissue massage, manual lymph drainage, joint mobilization, fascial work and frictioning for scar tissue.

In the fall of 2014 Shannon completed Reiki Master training and offers Reiki healing as an add-on to her massage therapy treatments as it can be very helpful in aiding various conditions.

Other modalities Shannon is trained in include Thai massage and Thai foot reflexology using a wooden stick. She plans to obtain acupuncture training to add on to her massage therapy treatments.

Shannon emphasizes balance in living life. Her passions are activities which encourage mental and physical wellness including healthy eating, meditation, spending time in international destinations, dancing, learning languages, music and cultural immersion. Shannon also works part-time as a counsellor with homeless and at-risk populations.

Hannah is dedicated to providing the highest quality therapeutic massages through effective techniques within the client centered care framework, as well as proving valuable education to her clients regarding their health. Angelina is a graduate of the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy. She has also taken continuing education courses in Prenatal Massage and Cupping. It is important for her to always be developing as a Therapist and continue to incorporate new techniques and approaches into her treatments.

Angelina pursued a career in Massage Therapy as a continuation of her interest in Hatha yoga, which she has practiced for many years and is trained in. She strongly believes that the mind and body connection is crucial in sustaining a balanced lifestyle.  For her, massage therapy is an excellent method to decrease our stress levels and is an accessible way to feeling better as well as more in tune with oneself.

Angelina's approach is geared towards individual client needs with a focus on what each body demands, whether it be more of a relaxed or deep tissue style; she strives to ensure each session will provide maximum relief.

Sandy McHugh

Through practicing Yoga and Qi Gong, Sandy gradually began to pick up on subtle energies in her body. Feeling Prana or Chi created a great interest in developing more skills in this area. For years Sandy has been developing sharper attunement to healing energies and being able to help others with it. She helps people create a healing environment in the body, so that the body can work more efficiently. Sandy can help to bring in healing energy and help the person let go of energies that are no longer needed. This brings more clarity and balance for the person to help them move forward with a new perspective. Sandy is currently working with two modalities, Reiki and Craniosacral Treatments.

Sandy has been practicing yoga for fifteen years and teaching for ten. She is certified in Mat Pilates. Sandy has completed the Second Degree in the Usui System of Natural Healing studying under Agnes Toews Blakely. She has also earned an advanced certificate from the Cranial Therapy Centre in Toronto. She has a Bachelor of Business and worked in corporate for fourteen years.
